As an Amnesty International local group we not only write letters on behalf of prisoners of conscience, but we plan events to raise awareness in the local community and raise funds for our human rights work. We also provide resources for other individuals or organization who need information on various human rights situations. It takes five minutes to write a letter that may save someone's life. If everyone in San Diego wrote one letter a week human rights abuses might no longer exist.
